King, Joseph

I have the original Civil War Discharge papers for Joseph King.  They were damaged in a fire, but it very clearly states that he was discharged as a Corporal on January 21, 1866 in Selma Alabama. He was 5' 7" tall with a dark complexion, dark hair and gray eyes and before joining the military he was a farmer.  He was a member of the Illinois 47th Infantry and enlisted in Peoria, IL.
