Notes |
- From the information listed in the Greenwood Furnace State Park Family Album, Hugh M. Parker (#1788) was born in 1800 in Pennsylvania. They think that his mother's name could have been Mary A. Parker.
His wife's name was Mary. (#1789) She was born in 1805 in Pennsylvania. She and Hugh M. had seven children together, the youngest is Francis Marion Parker, our ancestor.
They listed his occupation as a miner and a farmer. He is listed in the Jackson Township tax records for 1850, and 1853-1865. He served in the Civil War in Co. H, 125th Regt. Pa Volunteers. He died shortly after his discharge on a medical certificate at the age of 64. They list his occupations as a miner and a farmer.
