Have a school record from 1917
In the 1920's, John and brother Kenneth worked in the sawmill at Ladysmith.
Their mother became ill and they moved to the Bebe Farm 8 miles from Ladysmith, WI
John and Herb went to Ladysmith High School and played in the band.
John later worked for Weyerhauser Paper Co. He left home about 1927/28 and joined the AAF and went to Selfridge Field in Michigan.
Lived on the Rud Farm near Ceylon, WI
