• Notes

  Philippe Amyot, native of Chartres, was bron in Beauce, France. He married in France and came to New France around 1634. With him was his wife, Anne Convent, born in 1601 to Guillaume Convent and Antoinette de longval, and his two sons Jean and Mathieu. Anne came from the Diocese of Soissons, Ile of France. Philippe lived only a short time in this New World, he died in Quebec in 1635. Jean drowned near Trois-Rivieres on 23 May 1648. Anne remarried Jacques Maheu in 1639.
