- OBITUARY:
Jack M Jones 69,of Warriors Oaks,Huntingdon RD1 an Altoona Native who had owned and operated Jones Pharmacy in Huntingdon since Feburary 1955 died unexpectedly at 7:50 a.m., Saturday July 30,1977, at his home. A 1942 graduate of University of Pittsburgh school of Pharmacy, Mr Jones previously managed Hillys Drug Store Huntingdon from November 1945 to February 1955.
Mr Jones was a graduate of the Altoona High School and attended St Francis College.He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and BPOE, Huntingdon and member and past president of the Huntingdon Pharmacological Association. An army verteran of World War II 640th Medical Clearing Company,M r Jones was a member of the Frank P Hommon American Legion and Standing Stone VFW, Huntingdon. He was born May 25,1917, a son of Jerome and Mary McCall Jones and married Aline Bell on Sept.20,1941. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs David L Isenberg of Springfield, Va. and two grand children. Friends will be received in the John B Brown Funeral home,Huntingdon after 7 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
JONES -Services for Jack M.Jones of Warrior Oaks, Huntingdon RD 1, a native of Altoona, will be held in the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon, at 10:30 a.m Tuesday by the Rev Paul H Xieffel. Interment in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens,Huntingdon RD1. Friends will be received at theFuneral home after 7 PM today and 9 am until the time of service on Tuesday
