CHARLES A. JONES
Charles A. Jones, 216 Atlantic Avenue, East End, a salesman for the Russell Manufacturing Company, New York, died at his home at 1:10 a.m. yesterday of complications.
He was born at Millerstown, September 14, 1880, a son of William W. and Louise Jones.
Surviving are his father, in this city; his wife Cora [Clara] Parker Jones; one son Robert at home; one daughter, Mrs. Norris Shane, Alexandria, one brother, Jerry, of this city and two grandchildren.
He was a member of the Salem Reformed church, having served as president of the church consistory several times, a member of the Junior Mechanics, No 570 and the Altoona Lodge No 102, Benevolent Order of Elks.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow in charge of the Rev. V.H. Jones, Wayneboro. Burial will be made in Alexandria.

Alice Louise Shane, 86, of Sharpsburg, died Thursday, Oct. 5, in Reeder Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born in Altoona, Pa.; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Alice Parker Jones.
Her husband, Norris C. Shane died in 1985. A son, Robert Shane, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Manor Church of the Brethren in Boonsboro.
She was also a member of the Ladies Elks in Hagerstown and the Southeastern Washington County Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three daughters, Joan Kay macKenzie of hagerstown, Sarah Ellen Warner of Silver Spring, Md., and Elizabeth A. Malloy of San Antonio, Tx.; three sons, Norris D. Shane of San Antonio, Alan R. Shane of Williamsport, and Philip O. Shane of Mt. Airy, Md.; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday Oct. 15 at Manor Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Loyal H. Vanderveer will officiate. Burial will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to Manor Church of the Brethren, Alice and Norris Shane Memorial Fund, Boonsboro, Md. 21713.
Arrangements are being handled by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W. Va.

HELEN MILDRED JONES
Helen Mildred, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jones, of Juniata, died at the home of the parents Friday morning August 24 at 11 o'clock. The child was 1 month and 2 days old and had been a continual sufferer of a disease of the blood. She was a granddaughter of David E. Parker, of Juniata. The parents and one sister, Alice, survive. The remains were brought to Mapleton Saturday afternoon and interred in the Odd Fellows cemetary.

OBITUARY:
Jack M Jones 69,of Warriors Oaks,Huntingdon RD1 an Altoona Native who had owned and operated Jones Pharmacy in Huntingdon since Feburary 1955 died unexpectedly at 7:50 a.m., Saturday July 30,1977, at his home. A 1942 graduate of University of Pittsburgh school of Pharmacy, Mr Jones previously managed Hillys Drug Store Huntingdon from November 1945 to February 1955.
Mr Jones was a graduate of the Altoona High School and attended St Francis College.He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and BPOE, Huntingdon and member and past president of the Huntingdon Pharmacological Association. An army verteran of World War II 640th Medical Clearing Company,M r Jones was a member of the Frank P Hommon American Legion and Standing Stone VFW, Huntingdon. He was born May 25,1917, a son of Jerome and Mary McCall Jones and married Aline Bell on Sept.20,1941. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Mrs David L Isenberg of Springfield, Va. and two grand children. Friends will be received in the John B Brown Funeral home,Huntingdon after 7 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

OBITUARY:
Pro Football Hall of Famer and former Defensive Line Coach of the Denver Broncos for 18 years, passed away on May 21, 2010, in Broomfield, CO. Stan was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on November 24, 1931, to Naomi Justine Murray and Paul Jones. After 40 years in the NFL; 13 as a player and 27 as a coach, Stan retired to his home in Fraser, CO. Stan is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Darlis and is survived by his daughter Sherrill, two sons Kevin (Klea) and Tony, and 5 grandchildren Tory, Taylor, Tanner, Alfredo, and Anthony, as well as several cousins. He was a wonderful husband, father, teacher, coach, friend and consummate storyteller...he will be missed by his family, lifelong friends and teammates. A celebration of Stan's life will be held with friends and family on Friday, June 4 at the National Western Stock Show Complex in Denver from 5pm to 9pm. Hall of Fame Professional Football Player in the NFL, playing for the Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins. He earned Pro-Bowl status from 1955-1961 and played for the Bears in the 1963 NFL Championship. After his football playing career, he was an assistant coach for the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots. In 1991 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
