    • Mary Jane Shane, 75, of 109 Kemmett, died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995 at her home.
      Born March 14, 1920, in East Galesburg to Michel and Maude Loman Ferrara, she married James H. Godsil in 1938. He preceded her in death. She later married Robert Shane, who survives.
      Surviving are one daughter, Sallie Conlin of Galesburg; four sons, Donald, John and William Godsil, all of Galesburg, and James Godsil of Coralville, Iowa: two brothers, Richard Banks of Galesburg and James Banks of East Galesburg; three sisters, Mrs. John (Hazel) Leaf and Mrs. Russell (MYrtle) Potter, both of East Galesburg, and Mrs. Chris (Virginia) Gerlach of Greenwood, Neb.; 22 grandchildren; and 19 greatgradnchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.She worked in production at at Gale Products, was a cook at the Elks Club and was a waitressat the former Sheraton Hotel, all in Galesburg. She also was a licensed practical nurse at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
      She was a member of East Galesburg Community Chapel. She was a former member of St. patrick's Catholic Church in Galesburg, where she was active with the Altar and Rosary Scoeity and the Third Order of Carmelites.
      Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hurds-Hendricks Funeral Home in Knoxville.The Rev. Milton Marquith will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Knoxville Cemetery.
      Memorials amy be made to East Galesburg Community Chapel.
