  • Notes
    • AGNES BAMFIELD, one of Thomas' five children, was probably b. bet. 1377 and 1386, and m. ca. 1406 to John Prowse of Chagford, Devon, b. ca. 1377, liv. 1447, to John Prowse and Maud Cruwys, who all the authorities agree was a daughter & heiress of the cadet Prowse family of East Anstey, Devon. She and her husband received from trustees Chagford lands 1435. (The Gen., cit., p. 11).
