Notes:

Michael was born in Germany and there was the father of at least three children: Johann, Louis Christian, and Dorcas. Michael then emigrated to the US and lived in Perry County, Pennsylvania, having eight US born children: Daniel, Lavina, George, Jacob, Elisabeth, Julie Ann, Phiana, and Augustus. Some of Michael's children from his first marriage in Germany accompanied him to the US while others stayed in Germany.

The mother of the eight US born children was thought to be Michael's wife Barbara Dressler (sometimes spelled Tressler) but the death record of Daniel was recently located and it said his mother's name was Katherine Hummel. The death record of Augustus stated his mother was Barbara, as expected. It is possible Daniel's death certificate is incorrect or perhaps Daniel's mother was indeed Katherine Hummel. If so, perhaps Katherine was also the mother of some of Michael's other children, but more research is needed to make any determinations either way.

The surname Iungerich was originally Jungerich. The name was spelled many ways in the census and other documents (Genrich, Gingerich, Yingerick, etc).
